During Canada Post Strike, Your cheques will be available for pickup starting Thursday, December 12th, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM at your local Social Programs office in Charlottetown, Summerside, O’Leary, Montague, or Souris.
If you live in a remote area or have special needs, please contact your Support Coordinator to arrange special pickup times or delivery.

Monthly Social Programs Payments Available for Pickup During Canada Post Strike
Islanders receiving Social Programs payments by mail (e.g., Social Assistance, AccessAbility Supports, Child Care Subsidy) can pick up their cheques during the Canada Post strike at local offices starting Friday, November 29, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM:
- Charlottetown: 161 St. Peters Rd
- Summerside: 120 Heather Moyse Dr
- O’Leary: 45 East Dr
- Montague: 41 Wood Islands Rd
- Souris: 15 Green St
Cheques will not be mailed, even if the strike ends before November 29, to avoid delays. Clients must bring current ID; written authorization is required for others picking up on their behalf. Alternative arrangements can be made for those with special needs.
