Job Fairs in Charlottetown and Cavendish + Rural Hiring Day Across PEI
Charlottetown, PEI – [February 26, 2025] – The Tourism Industry Association of PEI (TIAPEI) is helping job seekers find exciting opportunities in the tourism industry with two major Tourism Job Fairs and a province-wide Rural Hiring Day this spring. With over 700 jobs available, these job fairs are the perfect chance to meet employers, apply on the spot, and start a rewarding career in one of PEI’s largest industries.
The first event, the Charlottetown Tourism Job Fair, will take place on March 1, 2025, from 11 AM to 3 PM at the Eastlink Centre. The second, the North Shore Tourism Job Fair, will be held on April 5, 2025, from 11 AM to 2 PM at Green Gables Heritage Place in Cavendish. These job fairs will connect job seekers with tourism employers across PEI, offering positions in hospitality, dining, golf, outdoor adventure, and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring their résumés and take advantage of this opportunity to meet employers in person to secure summer or long-term employment.
In addition to the job fairs, TIAPEI is hosting Rural Hiring Day on April 12, 2025, from 1 PM to 3 PM, a province-wide initiative that brings job seekers directly to local businesses. Unlike a traditional job fair, Rural Hiring Day allows businesses to stay at their locations while job seekers visit them in person, providing a firsthand look at the workplaces and an opportunity for one-on-one conversations with hiring managers. This event is ideal for those looking to find employment close to home and gain a better understanding of available opportunities in their communities.
“Tourism is a key driver of PEI’s economy, and it offers incredible opportunities for Islanders looking for meaningful employment,” said Corryn Clemence, CEO of TIAPEI. “The Tourism Job Fairs and Rural Hiring Day provide a unique opportunity for job seekers of all ages to connect directly with employers, explore exciting career options, and secure a role in an industry that contributes so much to our province.”
Tourism isn’t just about summer jobs for students. There are opportunities for everyone, including retirees who want to share their knowledge and experience while enjoying the social connections that come with working in the industry. With part-time, full-time, seasonal, and year-round positions available, tourism offers flexible employment that fits a variety of lifestyles. Whether someone is looking for a short-term role, a way to stay active in retirement, or a full-time career in a thriving industry, there is a place for them in PEI’s tourism sector.
