Mark Carney has been officially sworn-in as the 24th Prime Minister of Canada.
Carney was sworn-in during a ceremony this morning at Rideau Hall in Ottawa with Governor General Mary Simon.
Carney’s new, leaner Cabinet includes a number of returning ministers, and three new members.
None of the four PEI MPs have been named to this new cabinet, but there is an Islander who remains in Cabinet. Gatineau MP Steven MacKinnon, who was born and raised in Charlottetown, is the Minister of Jobs and Families.
