Foreign workers to soon benefit from first phase of PEI’s Temporary Foreign Workers Protection Act

Foreign workers on PEI will soon benefit from the first phase of the province’s Temporary Foreign Workers Protection Act.  It goes into effect on April 1st and is aimed at enhancing workers’ rights while ensuring fair treatment on the job.  Some of the key changes coming into effect include a licensed requirement for those recruiting foreign workers.  The Act was passed in the P-E-I legislature in the spring of 2022
