Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says U-S President Donald Trump has agreed to pause tariffs on Canada for at least 30 days after the two leaders spoke Monday afternoon. Trudeau says Canada has made new commitments in addition to its 1.3-billion-dollar plan to strengthen the border. They include appointing a “fentanyl czar” and launching a joint strike force with the U-S to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering. Mexico struck a similar deal with Trump Monday morning.
