This past weekend, the RCMP says it arrested four impaired drivers – two on Friday and two on Saturday. At about 1:40am Friday, RCMP located a car parked in the middle of the road at Read Drive, Summerside and a 20-year-old driver was arrested for impaired driving by alcohol. At about 10:30pm Friday, West Prince RCMP stopped a truck for speeding in St. Felix and a 29-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving by alcohol. A single vehicle crash in Lower Freetown about 1:30am Saturday resulted in a 62-year-old man being taken to hospital with minor injuries and arrested for impaired driving by alcohol. Late Saturday night in Bonshaw, police responded to an iPhone crash alert, and although the investigation did not reveal a crash, a 44-year old man associated with the phone was arrested for impaired.
