Charlottetown Police have arrested and charged a 35 year old Charlottetown man with two counts of uttering counterfeit money and breach of Probation. The charges are in connection with two recent incidents in the Charlottetown area of fake $50 bills being passed. The man has been released from custody with conditions and will soon appear in Provincial Court. Police are warning about these bills circulating in the area. They are $50 bills and some of their distinguishing marks include the words “FILM PRODUCTION;” there’s an “a” missing at the end of the word Canada; and the clear panel is clear tape only with no metallic image, or the metallic image is from a $5 bill taped on with clear tape.
