Murray Harbour Councillor wants sanctions against him quashed

A Murray Harbour village councillor accused of posting an anti-Indigenous sign on his property wants a judge to quash sanctions imposed on him. Documents filed with the P-E-I Supreme Court show Councillor John Robertson claims fellow councillors exceeded their authority in fining and suspending him from his municipal post last November.  Robertson argues that he shouldn’t be punished for stating personal opinions on political issues that have nothing to do with his role as an elected council member.
