A 21 year old Charlottetown man has been charged with uttering threats, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and pointing a firearm. The charges stem from an incident in the early morning hours of last Saturday. A Charlottetown Police officer was flagged down in the downtown area by a group of men who said they were in an altercation with some others, including a man who pulled out a black hand gun and threatened them. They told the officer that the suspects were inside a vehicle in the Fitzroy Parkade and police were able to stop the vehicle as it was exiting the parkade. Four men inside the vehicle were detained and Police located a black pellet hand gun inside the vehicle. The one man was charged and he’s been released with conditions and will soon appear in Provincial Court.
