An inmate has died while in custody at provincial jail

The provincial government says an inmate has died while in custody at the provincial jail.
The Department of Justice and Public Safety says the person died Wednesday at the Provincial Correctional Centre in Winsloe.
It says the RCMP and the PEI coroner’s office are
investigating, but the department offered no other details.
