Charlottetown Liberal MP Sean Casey and Green Leader Elizabeth May are among those indicating they’re interested in being the next Speaker of the House of Commons.
M-Ps will vote today on a replacement for Anthony Rota, who resigned last week for inviting a veteran who served in a Nazi unit during the Second World War to the House during a visit by Ukraine’s
president.
All M-Ps, except for party leaders and ministers, can put themselves on the ballot.
A handful of Conservatives, Liberals and New Democrats are interested in the job.
