The RCMP continues to ask residents in the Seacow Pond area to exercise vigilance, and lock doors as the investigation into Friday’s sword attack continues. At about 9:30 p.m. Friday, RCMP responded to a report of two people being attacked on the beach at Seacow Pond. Police responded and learned that a man carrying a sword approached three people on the beach. He attacked a woman and a youth and then fled on foot. The youth suffered minor injuries, while the 42-year-old woman suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The third person was not injured. The RCMP Major Crime Unit has been working following up on tips. PEI Ground Search and Rescue as well as RCMP Police Dog Section have conducted searches in the area of Seacow Pond, looking for evidence.
