RCMP in West Prince continue a search for an armed and dangerous man who attacked three people with a sword on Friday evening at Seacow Pond Beach. The police operation is into a fourth day.
The Mounties say a man about 5-10 wearing a dark mask and possibly a green hoodie attacked three people. A 42-year old woman suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, a teen suffered minor injuries and the third person was not hurt.
RCMP Constable Gavin Moore says they believe it was a random incident. The motive behind the violent attack is not known.
The suspect left on foot.
RCMP continue the investigation with police dogs in the Seacow Pond area near PEI’s northern tip. PEI Ground Search and Rescue is also involved.
Police are looking for the identity of the suspect.
