A 30-year old Charlottetown man has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes in connection with an incident shortly after 12:30am on Wednesday. Charlottetown Police received a complaint about a man being stabbed on Euston Street. When Police responded to the scene they located the victim who had a laceration to his face as a result of an altercation he had with a man that he does know. Police say they learned in their investigation that during the altercation the suspect pulled a knife and struck the victim in the face. The victim was taken to the QEH by Island EMS with serious but non life threatening injuries. The suspect was located by officers Wednesday afternoon at 4:00pm.
