Judy Clark, has been named to the Assembly of First Nations Council of Elders. Judy is a member of Abegweit Mi’kmaw Nation and is UPEI’s Elder in Residence. Judy is a member of the UPEI President’s Indigenous Advisory Circle and the Indigenous Education Advisory Circle. The University says this is the first time that Prince Edward Island has its own regional Elder to represent the province within the Assembly of First Nations. The Assembly of First Nations is a political organization representing approximately 900-thousand First Nation citizens in Canada.
