The Confederation Bridge put traffic restrictions in place Wednesday because of high winds. Highsided vehicles are among those not allowed to cross. The winds in the Strait have been as high as 108kh. Bridge restrictions were put into place just after 6:00am.
Due to strong winds, Northumberland Ferries has cancelled sailings of the MV Saaremaa from Wood Islands at 8:30am and 12:00pm and Caribou at 7:00am and 10:15am. All other departures will go ahead as scheduled.
