NDP Leader concerned by PCH ICU closure

Like Liberal Opposition Health Critic Gord McNeilly, Island NDP Leader Michelle Neill is voicing concerns about the Health PEI announcement that the Intensive Care Unit at Prince County Hospital would be closed during a shortage of internal medicine physicians.  Neill says the closure raises doubts about the King government’s commitment to provide accessible and reliable healthcare services to Islanders. She says it highlights the distressing practice of subjecting patients to precarious, long-distance transfers to Charlottetown when crucial services are removed.
