27-year old Edwin Jos has been sentenced to 18-months in jail in regards to a serious collision on Route 2 near Tracadie last July. Jos was sentenced Tuesday in provincial court in Charlottetown as he had already pleaded guilty in January to dangerous driving causing bodily harm. Witnesses reported that Jos had been speeding and driving erratically when his car crossed a double line on a curve and collided head-on with a vehicle occupied by a father and his two daughters, all of whom suffered multiple injuries. One of the daughters had to be airlifted to hospital in Halifax for treatment. Jos also had to be airlifted to Halifax for treatment. Jos, who is from India, will be deported after serving his sentence.
