There were fewer car sales on the Island in 2022 during the COVID-19 pandemic, compared to 2021.
Stats Can says 6,735 vehicles were sold. That’s the lowest number since 2012 and a thousand fewer than in 2021.
Adam Toner, vice-president of the PEI Automobile Dealers Association says it had to due with a problem with a lack of supply, which car dealers felt all over Canada.
