Health PEI is now advising that anesthesiology services have been restored at Prince County Hospital for a period stretching from Friday into Saturday. Earlier on Thursday, Health PEI had indicated that the service would be reduced from 8:00am Friday to 8:00am Saturday — but it now says that through the dedication and teamwork of Health PEI staff, anesthesiologists and surgical teams, the service has been restored.
With the shifts now covered, those expecting to deliver a baby who may need anesthesia during labour will be able to receive it at PCH and there will be no diversion for emergencies
