Strait Crossing is advising that travel on the Confederation Bridge will be disrupted from Monday, April 24 to Friday, June 16 due to scheduled bridge maintenance. The work involves the replacement of one expansion joint located approximately 1 km from the New Brunswick approach to the bridge. As a result, starting Monday, April 24th, speed limits will be decreased around the work zone and traffic will be restricted to a single lane, managed by a stop-and-go traffic light 24/7. There will also be two full bridge closures for 8 hours each, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 13 from 10 PM to 6 AM and another date to be determined in June.
