DCI and City of Charlottetown launch Parking Forgiveness Program

Downtown Charlottetown Inc. and the City of Charlottetown have partnered to launch a Parking forgiveness program. For the month of April, if you receive a parking meter ticket in Downtown Charlottetown you are eligible to have it forgiven, using a purchase receipt of $35 or more from a downtown business. The Ticket and receipt should be taken to the Charlottetown Police station on Kirkwood Drive within 5 days of the ticket being issued to have the ticket fee waived. The value of the purchase receipt must be a minimum of $35 before taxes and must have been made within three hours of the ticket being issued at a business within the area of Prince Street to Pownal Street and Euston Street to the Water. Subsequent programs will run in September and October.  The program is for meter violations only, parking garages and lots do not apply.
