The City of Charlottetown is seeking public feedback on the future of land-use zoning in the city. A review and update of the Zoning and Development Bylaw is currently underway. The City says the updated bylaw will serve as the regulatory framework for land-use development in Charlottetown, introducing zoning categories and design guidelines. Residents are encouraged to complete an online survey that will help inform the update. That survey will remain open throughout the spring as staff continue to collect public feedback.
The intended changes to the bylaw will focus on increasing housing solutions and streamlining approval processes to reduce red tape associated with development approvals.
