The Province has announced that the minimum wage in PEI will increase incrementally to $17 per hour by April 1st of 2026. The first of two increases will take effect on October 1st, 2025and see the rate rise from $16 to $16.50 per hour. Then, on April 1st, 2026 the rate will increase from $16.50 to $17 per hour.
The Employment Standards Board reviews minimum wage each year, and provides its recommendation to government.
