Charlottetown Police say a 36-year old man has been charged with possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking after they seized, with help from Canada Post inspectors, 13 grams of fentanyl which had been shipped from out of province. The seizure was part of the same investigation that saw the man arrested and charged when the Charlottetown Police Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant in mid-March at a home on King Street. That search led to the man being charged with several offenses, including possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking. He has been in custody since his arrest March 15th.
