At the Major U18AAA Atlantics in Kensington, the host Kensington Wild lost 2-1 in overtime to the East Coast Blizzard to fall to 1-and-1. The PEI rep Charlottetown Knights lost 6-3 to the Moncton Flyers and are now 0-and-2. Today, the Knights play the Blizzard at 4:00pm and the Wild face the Halifax Macs at 7:30pm.
At the World Men’s Curling Championship in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, the Brad Jacobs rink, which includes Islander Brett Gallant, secured a playoff spot Thursday with a pair of wins to improve to 9-and-1.
