Tourism Minister Zack Bell faced more questions in the PEI legislature on Wednesday regarding the Province’s contract with the National Hockey League. The multimillion-dollar deal sees PEI featured as the NHL’s official travel destination, and it has been a source of much controversy, especially in the face of the trade war with the United States. On Wednesday, Opposition Leader Hal Perry asked Bell if government would cancel the contract and put more tourism dollars towards attracting Canadian visitors. Bell responded by saying the province is always trying to expand its reach and attract new visitors, including Americans.
