The Charlottetown Islanders’ season ended Wednesday night with a 4-1 loss to the Rimouski Océanic. Rimouski won the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League playoff series in four straight, and the Océanic move on to the next round.
The Kensington Wild are hosting the Major U18AAA Atlantic this weekend and the action got underway last night at Credit Union Centre in Kensington. The Wild, as the host team, beat PEI rep Charlottetown Knights 5-2. On Thursday, the Knights play the Moncton Flyers at 4:00pm and the Wild face the East Coast Blizzard at 7:30pm.
