The City of Charlottetown says it’s working on a strategy to better understand how parking is meeting the city’s needs and how it can be more effectively managed. It will look into the availability and cost of parking, as well as competing needs for curb space. The strategy will also address parking needs in residential neighbourhoods, accessible parking, winter parking regulations, enforcement, parking requirements for new developments and parking management technologies.
Public engagement on the Parking Strategy will kick-off with a Community Open House on Thursday (April 3) from 4pm to 6pm at the Charlottetown Library and Learning Centre.
An online feedback form is also available for residents to provide input.
