The spring sitting of the PEI legislature opens Tuesday – the first for newly-minted PEI Premier Rob Lantz. The first order of the day for the new sitting will be choosing a new speaker, followed by the delivery of the Speech From the Throne. As the session begins, all the parties in the house, the PCs, Liberals and Greens are without permanent party leaders. The Greens have announced they will choose a new leader June 7th. The Liberals will pick their leader on October 4th. The PCs have not yet set a date for a leadership convention.
