The federal Liberals under new leader Mark Carney are pushing further ahead of the Conservatives in voter support, and a new poll found almost one in two Canadians surveyed said they think the Liberals will win next month’s election. The online survey, conducted on the weekend by Leger for The Canadian Press, found 44 per cent of decided voters surveyed would vote Liberal. The Conservatives garnered 38 per cent support, and the N-D-P had the backing of six per cent. It was the first time since early 2023 the Liberals took the lead.
