Spencer announces he’ll be running to be Mayor of Kensington

Current Acting Mayor Jeff Spencer has announced that he will offer as a candidate in the upcoming by-election for Mayor of Kensington. Spencer has been a Councillor since 2008 and the Deputy Mayor for the past 2 years.  He stepped in as Acting Mayor in November of 2024.  Spencer says that if elected, he is committed to continuing the growth strategy that Council has been working towards during his time on Town Council.  He says that includes attracting businesses to the new Business Park and encouraging a mix of residential options in new subdivisions across the municipality.
