A Freezing Rain Warning is in effect across Prince Edward Island on Tuesday.
The entire province will see the day start with rain. In Prince County, the rain will change to freezing rain or ice pellets in the morning and then to snow in the afternoon. Up to 10mm in rain and 5 to 10cm in snow can be expected in Prince County on Tuesday. In Queens and Kings, the rain changing to freezing rain late in the morning or in the afternoon. Up to 20mm in rain possible in central and eastern PEI.
Due to the freezing rain in the forecast, all Holland College locations will remain closed Tuesday, and UPEI’s Charlottetown and St. Peter’s Bay campuses will remain closed for the day .
The AVC Veterinary Teaching Hospital will remain open for emergencies.
