Prince District RCMP have confirmed a fatal single vehicle crash. At about 11:00am on Saturday, the RCMP, Island EMS, and Wellington Fire Department all responded to the scene of a single vehicle crash on route 177, the Mount Carmel Road in Wellington. Police say the vehicle appears to have left the road and ended up in a small waterway. An 83-year-old Summerside man was found deceased at the scene and the road was closed for several hours. Provincial Conservation Officers and the Department of Transportation both assisted in the investigation.
