Fire in downtown Charlottetown sends two to hospital

A dramatic scene Wednesday afternoon as Charlottetown firefighters responding to a fire on Sydney Street arrived to find a resident hanging from a window trying to escape the flames in the burning apartment building.  They were able to get out on their own from the 12-unit building between Queen and Pownal Streets.  Two people were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.  In all, 12 people live in the building, and they have been receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
