Cory Deagle resigns from Cabinet to seek PC Party of PEI Leadership

Montague-Kilmuir MLA Cory Deagle is the first declared candidate for the leadership of the Progressive Conservative Party of PEI.   On Wednesday, Deagle announced that he had informed Premier Rob Lantz of his decision to resign from cabinet, effective immediately, to focus his efforts on the pending leadership race and serving the residents of District 3, Montague-Kilmuir.  Deagle says a formal leadership campaign launch will take place following the official announcement of the PC Party of PEI leadership race.
