Several Island businesses and organizations are receiving federal support for upgrades, planning and programming. Close to two and a half million dollars will be used for eight projects that will advance PEI’s tourism sector and provide support for small business development.
TIAPEI, Meetings and Conventions PEI, the PEI Business Women’s Association and LearnSphere Canada are getting help with programming and marketing. Key infrastructure upgrades for the historic Rodd Charlottetown property and the Port of Charlottetown are aimed at improving experiences for more visitors and the popular Anne of Green Gables Chocolates Inc will use funding to help modernize processes to keep up with demand.
