Charlottetown drug bust

A drug bust in Charlottetown.  At about 11:45 pm last Friday, Charlottetown Police officers out on patrol came across a vehicle on Belvedere Avenue that appeared to have mechanical issues and was blocking one lane of traffic.  As police got closer to the vehicle, two people ran off on foot and two others remained by the vehicle.  An officer was able to catch up with the man and woman that had fled the area.  The Officer recognized the woman and knew that she had an active arrest warrant, and she was arrested.  During the arrest, Police located over 16 grams of Fentanyl.  A 27 year old woman has been charged with Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking.  She has been remanded in custody until her next court appearance on February 24th.
