All three Counties are under Wind Warnings on Monday as the Island cleans up from the snow, ice pellets and freezing rain we saw Sunday night and overnight. Transportation dispatch officials say the main roads Monday morning are in pretty good shape with some slushy conditions in areas. Crews are working on secondary roads which are snow covered and slippery with some icy conditions. We will see the temperature drop down to about -7 in the afternoon, so icy conditions could further develop.
As for the winds, from mid-day Monday through early Tuesday morning we are expecting maximum southwesterly wind gusts of near 90 km/h.
