Summerside CAO

Gordon MacFarlane is resigning as the Chief Administrative Office of the City of Summerside.  MacFarlane is leaving his position as he’s been appointed Commissioner to the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission.  Summerside Mayor Dan Kutcher says MacFarlane has been a highly respected leader and key contributor to the City, having served first as Director of Human Resources and Legal Affairs; then as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, and most recently as Chief Administrative Officer. Kutcher says MacFarlane’s unwavering commitment and leadership have left a lasting and meaningful impact on the City and the community.  MacFarlane will continue in his role of CAO until March, and then JP Desrosiers will assume the role as Acting CAO.
