Road Conditions – Saturday, February 15th

With the very strong winds occurring across much of the Island, PEI RCMP are advising motorists to use caution on many Island roads.

Areas of Prince County, especially western areas, are seeing blowing and drifting snow. Sections of Cascumpeque Road have large drifts blocking the road as of 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 15.

If you have to drive, make sure your vehicle is clear from all snow, plan ahead and know your route, make sure to let others know your plans. If possible, travel with an emergency kit including a shovel, blanket, water, food, flashlight, and extra clothing when temperatures are this cold. Make sure your cell phone is charged as well.
