Maritime Electric asking Islanders to conserve energy as its system faces high demands

Maritime Electric is advising that it will continue to be experiencing a high demand for electricity on its system Tuesday morning. It says that reducing energy consumption where possible during times of high demand, especially during the hours of 4 to 8 p.m. and 6 to 10 a.m., can help reduce the load on the system. Maritime Electric says its Contact Centre can be contacted by calling 1-800-670-1012.
