The union representing school bus drivers on PEI is welcoming new federal regulations requiring new buses to be equipped with cameras.
The cameras that have been newly mandated by Transport Canada for new buses are used to improve drivers’ visibility of their surroundings.
The systems use multiple cameras mounted on the exterior of the bus that allow drivers to see if anyone is around the vehicle before it drives off.
