Liberal leadership contender Mark Carney is on PEI today. Carney is participating in a meet and Greet event this morning at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel. Then, late this morning, Carney will attend a social in North River. Carney is on an Atlantic Canadian swing. In Halifax on Friday, Carney announced he’ll abandon consumer carbon pricing if he wins the race. Carney says the consumer carbon tax isn’t working because it’s too divisive, and “it’s time for Canada to come together.” The former Bank of Canada governor said he’s going to cancel the tax if chosen leader and replace it with incentives.
