There is a Special Weather Statement in effect for north facing shorelines across PEI advising of large waves, pounding surf and elevated sea water levels that are expected Friday.
Storm surge and minor coastal flooding is possible along shorelines exposed to the north, especially around high tide with a time period of about 2pm to 6pm Friday.
Water levels will begin to subside Friday evening, but high waves will persist through the night before easing by Saturday morning.
