ChatGPT just launched its own 1-800 number, so you can call in and ask questions instead of using it online.
If you call 1-800-CHATGPT, an A.I. woman answers and asks how she can help. (That’s 1-800-242-8478.)
It’s a very 20th century feature for a 21st century product, and that’s the point. They say it’s for people . . . possibly older people . . . who are new to A.I. and don’t feel comfortable using an app.
They say it’s also useful for people who don’t have great access to the internet, or good high-speed data.
It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles the app has, and it’s not unlimited. You only get 15 minutes of free talk-time a month. You can also use WhatsApp to text the number and ask questions that way.
