Charlottetown Police are increasing the frequency of Road Safety Check Points this Holiday Season. Last Friday night, check points were conducted on Malpeque Road, St Peters Road and Water Street. Approximately 500 vehicles went through the check points. Two vehicles were towed due to no registration and insurance and 3 Summary Offence tickets under the Highway Traffic Act were issued for driving without insurance and/or vehicle registration. Police are reminding the public to plan ahead, designate a sober driver and never drive while impaired.
