TOP PET NAMES REPORT 2024
Dog-walking company Rover released its 12th annual “Top Pet Names Report”, revealing some of the unique names given to dogs and cats in the US by their – apparently hungry – owners.
While the top dog names include Charlie, Milo, Luna and Bella, and top cat names include Oliver, Leo, Luna and Lily, a growing trend seems to be naming pets after food and drink.
Topping the list of dog names trending upward were Calzone, Chive and Provolone, as well as Tortilla, Cauliflower and Pork Chop.
Provolone was a trending name for cats, too, and so were these delicious, if sometimes cheesy names: Casserole, Burger, Burrito, Goat, Maple Syrup, Dumpling, Loaf, and Pepperoni.
