Premier Dennis King is marking Wednesday’s Transgender Day of Remembrance. King says the solemn occasion is dedicated to honouring and remembering the lives of transgender individuals who lost their lives because of violence, discrimination and hate. King says it is a day to pause, reflect, and learn about the systemic challenges and prejudice that transgender people face in their daily lives. King is calling on the Island community to create a future defined by acceptance, respect, and equality for all.
