Head-on collision in Lot 16 claims life

Prince District RCMP is investigating a fatal two-vehicle head-on collision on Route 122, the Allen Rd., in Lot 16.  It happened at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday, just east of Miscouche.  A 76-year-old Tyne Valley man died at the scene, and a 42-year-old Tyne Valley man was taken to Prince County Hospital with serious injuries.  Prince District RCMP, Miscouche Fire Department, Summerside Police and Island EMS all responded to the scene.  The investigation is ongoing.
